by Ozmay Designs!
I currently live in the Puget Sound area of Washington state with my amazing love, friend, and husband, Joey. I love to travel, but feel the Pacific Northwest will always be my home. I work at home creating jewelry and other handcrafted items for sale.
Ozmay Designs is a branch of our main business - World of Moz. World of Moz is a small, home-based business I started with my husband back in 1997, for the purpose of selling beading, craft, and jewelry making supplies. Ozmay was created for my handcrafted jewelry, wire, and beaded artisan items!
Under the Ozmay Designs name, I create Bridge Jewelry, wirework in sterling and copper, and gift items.
I am completely self-taught and have been making jewelry and other beaded gift items for a couple of decades, though not as a business venture until the last 14 years or so.
I have always loved *making things*. I gravitated toward the crafty or creative toys as far back as I can recall. Remember the Spirograph? Or those potholder looms? Oh, and then there was my Lite Brite. I also had an Easy Bake Oven, a Spin Art, Paint by Numbers, and Tinker Toys! Oh I think I MUST be old! I don't remember playing with dolls - just give me an Etch-a-Sketch or some Play-Doh anytime. I don't know just when I started making seed bead daisy chains, but I remember the joy of spending what little money I could get my hands on to buy my next tube of shiny new seed beads.
As an adult the Spin Art was replaced by acrylic paints, and the Play-Doh gave way to polymer clay, and I do my *Spirographing* on PSP now, but I still love to create! I have ventured into many areas, from fabric painting, to sewing, to paper sculpting, to leatherwork, to graphics art. Some I can say I was good at, others, not so much. I always come back to beads, jewelry, and most recently, wire. I have a passion for creating.
